ClusterOps is a senior DevOps consultancy. We design, build and run cloud platforms — Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability — so your engineers ship product instead of fighting infrastructure.

01 / the hard part

Hiring DevOps is the problem
DevOps was meant to solve

01

Great DevOps engineers are rare

The best ones are already employed, already busy, and not reading your job ad. The hiring pool you can actually reach is thin.

02

One hire can't cover it all

Networking, CI/CD, Kubernetes, security, observability, cost control — that's five specialties wearing one job title.

03

Hiring takes months

A six-stage interview loop, notice periods, onboarding. Your roadmap doesn't pause while the pipeline drips.

04

A bad hire is expensive twice

Infrastructure mistakes compound quietly — you pay the salary now and the 3 a.m. incident later.

05

Freelancer roulette

Unvetted contractors ship undocumented snowflakes, then disappear. The next person starts by reverse-engineering the last one.

02 / how it works

From first call to first deploy,
without the hiring loop

  1. 01

    Intro call

Tell us where it hurts. An engineer joins the first call — not a salesperson — so you get useful answers from minute one.

  2. 02

    Audit & plan

We map your infrastructure, CI/CD and observability, then hand you a prioritized, costed plan. You keep it either way.

  3. 03

    Hands-on execution

We build in your repos, your cloud, your CI — as pull requests your team can review. Everything lands as code.

  4. 04

    Handover & support

Documentation, runbooks and training for your team. Keep us on retainer or take the keys — no lock-in, ever.

03 / where we plug in

Every stage between
git push and 3 a.m. quiet

Code

Git · GitHub · Bitbucket

Branch protection, review flow, monorepo or poly — sane defaults your team keeps.

Build & Test

GitHub Actions · CI runners

Fast, cached pipelines that fail loudly and cheaply — before production does.

Provision

Terraform · Helm

Every VPC, cluster and bucket as reviewed, versioned code. No console-clicked mysteries.

Deploy

Kubernetes · ArgoCD

GitOps rollouts with canaries and instant rollback. Deploys become boring — that's the point.

Observe

Prometheus · Grafana

SLOs, dashboards and alerts that page a human only when a human is needed.

04 / what you get

What working with
ClusterOps feels like

Senior engineers, day one

Every engagement is staffed by engineers who have run production at scale. No juniors learning on your dime.

Production-grade by default

High availability, backups, disaster recovery and security are baked in from the first commit — not bolted on after the first incident.

Documentation that survives us

Every system we touch leaves with runbooks, diagrams and an on-call guide. Your team can operate it without us.

Cost you can see

Right-sized clusters, storage lifecycle rules, committed-use planning. Most engagements pay for themselves in cloud savings.

No lock-in

Everything as code, in your accounts, under your keys. Leaving us is a git remote away — which is why clients stay.

Fast start

Days to first commit, not months to first hire. We slot into your Slack and your sprint, not the other way around.

05 / engagement models

Pick the shape,
keep the same engineers

most common

DevOps Consulting

Senior engineers embedded with your team, billed hourly. Architecture, build-out and mentoring — scale hours up or down as the roadmap moves.

Platform Audit

A fixed-scope review of your infrastructure, CI/CD, security posture and cloud spend — delivered as a written, prioritized plan.

Migration Projects

To Kubernetes, between clouds, or off a PaaS that got expensive. Fixed milestones, rehearsed cutover, rollback plan included.

Staff Augmentation

A vetted ClusterOps engineer inside your team, full- or part-time — your standups, your board, our bench depth behind them.

On-Call & Support

We carry the pager against an agreed SLO — monitoring, incident response and postmortems handled.

Team Training

Hands-on workshops that level your engineers up on Kubernetes, Terraform and GitOps — on your infrastructure, not toy examples.

07 / faq

Fair questions,
straight answers

How do you charge?

Hourly, invoiced weekly with a line-item breakdown of what was done. No minimum commitment, no long contracts — you can stop any week.

Who actually does the work?

The senior engineers you meet on the intro call. We don't do bait-and-switch staffing — the person who scopes your platform is the person who builds it.

Do you work in our accounts?

Always. Your cloud, your repos, your CI, your secrets manager. We request the minimum access needed and leave nothing proprietary behind.

How fast can you start?

Typically within days of the intro call. The first week usually ends with the audit underway and the first pull requests open.

Can you work alongside our existing team?

That's the default. We join your Slack and your sprint, open PRs your team reviews, and treat knowledge transfer as a deliverable, not a favor.

What if priorities change mid-engagement?

The hourly model exists for exactly this. We re-prioritize at the weekly sync — no change orders, no renegotiation, just a re-ordered backlog.

Tell us where it hurts.

The first call is free — and it's with an engineer.
